       getegid - get the effective group ID
SYNOPSIS

DESCRIPTION
       The getegid() function shall return the effective group ID of the call-
       ing process.
RETURN VALUE
       The  getegid()  function shall always be successful and no return value
       is reserved to indicate an error.
